Introducción al Dossier: "La movilidad escalonada en el mundo hispano de la Edad Moderna"
Resumen
Las experiencias de movilidad escalonada abundaron en el mundo hispano de la edad moderna. Pero la historiografía no ha estudiado de forma sistemática a individuos cuyas vidas se vieron marcadas por reiteradas instancias de desplazamiento alternadas con periodos relativamente largos de residencia en un lugar. En dialogo con estudios recientes sobre la migración contemporánea, los artículos en este dossier exploran desde una perspectiva longitudinal cómo este tipo de experiencias de movilidad contribuyo a la construcción de espacios imperiales, la articulación de proyectos reformistas, el desarrollo de patrones migratorios y prácticas petitorias, y la vinculación y gobierno de la monarquía hispana; al mismo tiempo, analizan las formas en las que individuos que experimentaron movilidad escalonada interpretaron y movilizaron sus experiencias en distintos puntos de sus vidas.
