Resumen
La Historia Cultural nunca ha sido tan popular como hoy en los círculos académicos y quizá más allá de ellos también. La que se ha llamado “Nueva Historia Cultural” en particular, florece en sus diferentes manifestaciones y podría afirmarse que, en estos tiempos, casi todo parece tener su historia cultural. La intención del autor no es, ni celebrar la historia cultural, ni discutir su historia sino problematizarla. Por lo tanto este artículo analiza los problemas de la Historia Cultural y concluye retornando a sus aspectos positivos, sus fortalezas y sus posibilidades para los diálogos y encuentros con otros lugares, entre diferentes clases sociales, regiones, sexos y entre el campo y la ciudad. Así entendida, la Historia Cultural no es más que una parte de la Historia de lo que los franceses llaman o llamaron “Historia Total” histoire totale.
